German national Hans Schiller has been appointed as general manager of Hilton Capital Grand Abu Dhabi. Schiller brings in more than 26 years of hospitality experience. This appointment is the aftermath of his repeated outstanding success as cluster general manager of Hilton Abu Dhabi and Hilton Al Ain.
Chef Vitaly Medvedev, a prominent name in the culinary world, has recently been appointed as the executive pastry chef at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal. He has over 10 years of hospitality experience and he will be responsible for leading the patisserie and boulangerie sections and enhancing menus.
Campbell Gray Hotels has appointed Alan O’Dea as managing director. He will oversee the day-to-day running of the company and ensure the continued high-performance of its six hotels and its Campbell Gray Living arm. Before this, he spent 12 years with Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts as senior vice-president, Africa.
Centro Barsha in Dubai by Rotana has appointed Fadi Youssef Salloum as their new executive chef. He brings onboard more than 15 years of culinary experience and will oversee the kitchen operations for the all-day dining restaurant - c.taste, c.deli, c.mondo and the private catering and banquet unit.
South African national Stewart Bell joins The St. Regis Abu Dhabi’s culinary team as the new executive pastry chef, with 15 years of pastry experience. He has a way with gluten free, dairy free and vegan desserts, having worked with Nobu, Atlantis The Palm Dubai and At.mosphere in Burj Khalifa, to name a few.
Travelport has appointed Kerry Koutsikos as managing director of the Middle East and Africa region. He will lead the company’s operations across MEA. Most recently, he was vice-president, Middle East, Africa, Mediterranean, Eastern Europe and the Baltics at Qlik, a leader in visual analytics.
Raffles Dubai has recently appointed Evita Chidiac as director of rooms and Marina Kutskaya as spa manager. Evita will oversee all rooms’ division functions at the hotel and lead the teams to elevate guest satisfaction scores towards commercially impactful outcomes. She has over 15 years of managerial experience in luxury hospitality and joins the property from the Arlo Soho hotel in New York City. Marina will oversee the spa, fitness centre, pool operations as well as contribute to the Raffles Spa brand. With over 10 years of experience, Marina moved to Dubai in 2013 where she worked at the Armani Hotel Dubai as a spa supervisor.
Sajeev Vasudevan has been appointed as the director of sales at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort in Oman. He will be responsible for developing sales strategies to support business objectives across all sales market segments. Most recently, he held the position of director of sales at the Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai.
