JA Resorts & Hotels has announced two senior appointments at JA Ocean View Hotel and The Manor by JA. Shanadi Liyanage has been appointed Cluster Director of Marketing, bringing over a decade of lifestyle hospitality experience. Previously with The Dubai EDITION and other five-star brands, Liyanage has delivered impactful campaigns, high-profile collaborations, and strengthened brand storytelling and positioning. Philip Hardie has been appointed Director of Food & Beverages at JA Ocean View Hotel. 

Laura Christian has been appointed the Cluster Director of Marketing & Communications for Banyan Tree Dubai and AlUla. Previously Marketing Director at Banyan Tree Dubai, she brings over 15 years’ luxury hospitality experience, including senior roles with The Ned, Habtoor Hospitality and The Mandala Group.

UAE-headquartered Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), the world’s largest alliance of independent hotel brands, has announced three senior female appointments to strengthen its leadership team. Katharina Dein, with GHA since 2013, has been promoted to Vice President Commercial. Dein will optimise performance of newly integrated properties, support new brand development, and roll out products and services to enhance GHA’s value proposition. Jelena Kezika, also with GHA since 2013, has been appointed Vice President Strategy. Andrea Krenn, who has led GHA’s public relations since 2021, becomes Senior Vice President Communications. 

Raffles Jeddah has appointed Fredrik Blomqvist as General Manager. Most recently, he led Saudi Arabia’s Six Senses Southern Dunes by Red Sea Global. Blomqvist brings over 25 years’ luxury hospitality experience, including 16 years with Four Seasons, and is renowned for repositioning iconic hotels and branded residences.

Club Med Holding has appointed Stéphane Maquaire as President and CEO. A French national, he previously served as Executive Director for Carrefour Brazil and Latin America. With expertise in premium brand transformation and international leadership, Maquaire brings a strong record of growth, innovation, and operational excellence.  

Accor Shared Services has promoted Ghaith Dalati to General Manager of Novotel Suites and ibis Mall Avenue Dubai. Formerly leading Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre, Dalati brings over 20 years’ hospitality experience with global brands, recognised for hotel repositioning, sustainability achievements and award-winning leadership.  

Accor has appointed Raki Phillips as Regional President for its Premium, Midscale & Economy division in Middle East, Africa & Türkiye, effective November 2025. Formerly CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, Phillips brings 20 plus years’ global hospitality experience, commercial expertise and regional leadership. 

Erth Abu Dhabi has recently appointed Clarke Tomlinson as Chief Operating Officer. Since joining Erth in 2023, he has scaled the corporate catering division. With over 20 years’ experience in the UAE, UK, and Australia, Tomlinson excels in operations, P&L growth, and team leadership.
