The cabin crew of Eurowings, a subsidiary of German airline Lufthansa, are taking part in a 24 hour strike, which has pushed for hundreds of flights to be cancelled, said a report.
Some 400 flights have been cancelled on Thursday, affecting close to 40,000 passengers, said a report in The Daily Mail UK,
Many of its European flights have also been cancelled but long-distance flights and those from Frankfurt and Munich aren't affected.
The UFO union, Germany's Independent Flight Attendant Organisation, called the 24-hour strike starting at midnight after arbitration proceedings failed to achieve an agreement late Wednesday.
Members are seeking concessions on issues including pay, working conditions and pensions.
The strike started at 00.00 on Thursday and is expected to end at 24.00 on the same day.
There may be more strikes in the coming days.
UFO representative Daniel Flohr told Reuters that the cabin crew union will call for two more days of strikes at Lufthansa units next week if managers fail to change their behaviour.
