The Al Bustan Residence- Hotel Apartments in Dubai will be showcasing its "five-star facilities" at this month's ITB International Tourism Exchange in Berlin.
"Our main objective is to introduce our property. Also to meet and sign deals with tour operators who sell Dubai as a business, pleasure and leisure destination throughout the world," said general manager Moussa El Hayek.
El Hayek said ITB Berlin 2002 which is one of the important events for the tourism industry, "represents an ideal opportunity for us to promote Al Bustan Centre & Residence as a destination in Dubai".
He said the hotel which last took part in the event in 1998, provides "family environment and a comprehensive array of services and facilities to the public".
"We offer the basic facilities of a 'five-star hotel' and the comforts of a home," said El Hayek.
He said tourism in Dubai, which is becoming both a business and leisure hub, has a promising future "with huge investments in the tourism segment and many hotels and resorts coming up, not to mention the festivals, exhibitions and conferences being held year round".
He said although September 11 had affected travel business worldwide, Dubai had picked up faster than expected, being one of the most secure, safe and stable countries.
"This surely represents an attractive opportunity to encourage travellers to explore across the continent," said El Hayek.
Al Bustan attracted guests from a blend of markets including GCC, CIS, Europe and the UAE, and recorded an average occupancy of 60 per cent last year, touching 100 per cent at times depending on the season.
The hotel has a busy calendar of events as it is a family destination year round, says El Hayek.
For the Dubai Shopping Festival this month, the Residence has lined up a series of attractive deals and promotions with added values and benefits for long and short term stays.
"Al Bustan Centre has joined the citywide promotion as a Support Sponsor. Plans have been made by our retailers for a series of individual attractive promotions. Children will also find their share of daily activities, shows and exciting promotions at Fantasy Kingdom, our in-house amusement arcade," said El Hayek.
Al Bustan Residence - Hotel Apartments offers comprehensive business and leisure facilities.
For business travellers, it offers a business centre with secretarial services and a wide range of facilities from internet to four break-out rooms which can accommodate 75 people for meetings and hi-tech seminars.
For leisure, guests have access to 2 tennis courts, a health club with sauna, steam room, massage and a swimming pool. They can also avail of a daily shuttle bus that takes them downtown or to Al Mamzar beach.
The in-house shopping mall, Al Bustan Centre, has nearly 80 retail outlets offering a wide variety of brands, multi-cuisine restaurants and fast food outlets, two cinema theatres featuring the latest movies in town, an Internet cafŽ and Fantasy Kingdom, one of the largest indoor amusement arcades in the UAE and a specially designed children's play area.
