The comfortable accommodation on offer

Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman, UAE, was at ITB to focus on the leisure and incentive markets and increase partnerships and contacts.

General manager, Shehab Lotfi, said: “By participating in ITB Berlin we are targeting German tourists with our attractive promotions for the upcoming summer season and contracting for the year 2010-11.

“Our aim is to increase the leisure segment and the presence of the private beach will attract visitors from Germany and Western Europe. Our property, which has the largest number of rooms in the emirate, is getting a good response from that market through our closer contacts with GDS and European rour operators. Thus our visit to the show further solidifies these good relations with our partners and helps us promote tourism in the emirate.”

Offering a range of unique products, the 504-room property is launching an aggressive marketing campaign to promote a range of exciting tour packages including competitive room rates, tour packages for corporate and leisure travellers, special services for business meetings, conferences and seminars and a trained staff of travel advisors to answer visitors’ questions.

Lotfi…solidifying relations

Iftikhar Hamdani, director of sales and marketing, attended the event focusing on individual German travellers as well as GDS operators and incentive groups.

He said: “By participating in this show we presented a diverse range of products to Germany and other global travellers. It offered a unique opportunity for us to hold meetings with a diverse group of people, form networks, negotiate and conduct business with potential clients and explore new business ventures under one roof.

“As Germany and Europe make up the largest source market for the UAE’s booming tourism industry, we wanted to take advantage of this visitor market. We were also keen to get more information on the latest technology which was introduced at the show and to secure more global distribution channels for our business.”
