Al Diar Siji targets Mice

Fouad…promoting Mice

Following a boost in business by its meetings and conferences offerings, the five-star Al Diar Siji Hotel in Fujairah, managed by Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH), is set to strengthen its presence in this year’s edition of GIBTM (Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition) at the ADNH stand.

With the decrease in global business travel and room occupancy last year, Al Diar Siji Hotel has shifted its focus and has banked on Mice offerings specially packaged with food and beverage.

“The result has been good.  We have been busy with conferences, company meetings and training, as well as weddings and other functions, thereby giving the hotel’s income a boost,” said Fouad Melhem general manager.

“That is why we will be fully promoting our meetings and conference facilities.  We want more people to be aware that these facilities are available in the northern emirates, particularly in Fujairah where conference guests can also get to enjoy the beaches, mountains and water activities,” added Shankar Bharadwaj, director of sales and marketing.

A business hotel since inception, Al Diar Siji Hotel offers one of the biggest function halls on the east coast.  It’s Masafi Ballroom has a capacity of up to 700 guests, while the 104-seater auditorium is ideal for lectures and film showing.  A dedicated boardroom business centre with secretarial services is also available.

The property recently launched a joint privilege card aimed as a token of appreciation to regular patrons and as a way to attract new guests to the hotel’s food and beverage outlets and recreation facilities. Cardholders will enjoy exclusive privileges and benefits including: special discounts in health club membership, laundry services, take-away cakes and in the hotel’s restaurants by as much as 50 per cent. They also get special room rates and 15-per-cent discount on bowling games and spa treatments.
