Dietmar Kielnhofer has taken over as the new general manager of Le Meridien Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Kielnhofer, who headed the 813-room Le Meridien Makadi Bay for the past 14 months, says he aims to further strengthen the Jeddah hotel's position as the leading business hotel in the Kingdom's commercial centre.

"Through unparalleled high service and commitment to excellence, I am convinced we will convince our business partners that Le Meridien Jeddah is their preferred choice of stay," he said.

Only two years in business, Le Meridien Jeddah is strategically located at the Al Madinah Road in the heart of the city's commercial and shopping district.

The five-star hotel offers 284 rooms, a Royal Club floor, four restaurants and lounges and extensive banqueting facilities for 1,300 people.

Ashraf Haggag has been appointed as the new director of sales and marketing at the Le Meridien Heliopolis hotel in Egypt.

Haggag brings with him experience gained with several international hotel chains including Conrad, Movenpick and Swissotel.
