Tony Goubran has been promoted to the position of executive assistant manager of Sheraton Doha Hotel, Resort & Conference Center in Qatar.
Goubran, who received his qualifications in marketing from the American University in Cairo, joined the hotel industry in 1981 in the rooms division of Sheraton Heliopolis in Cairo.
In 1988, he joined the sales and marketing team at Sheraton El Gezirah in Cairo before moving to the Sheraton Dubai.
He was appointed director of sales and marketing at the Sheraton Gulf Hotel in Doha in 1996 and his team won the "Best Sales Blitz "runner up award in the Africa, India and Middle East Division of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide for two years in a row.
