What new tourism projects were launched in 2009 and what’s in store for 2010?

The Jordan Tourism Board’s mandate is to promote Jordan internationally as a destination of choice.

As such, the promotional programmes that will be conducted in 2010 are a continuation of promotional programmes that we conduct annually. There will be a continuation of the very important on-line campaigns as well as the equally important off-line campaigns such as outdoor advertising and TVCs.

We will continue with the sponsorship of events that help promote Jordan to our target audience.

From a PR angle, JTB will continue to attend the major tourism trade shows which are held in our base markets as well as some promising new markets. JTB will also continue to conduct both familiarisation and press trips.

In light of the current economic situation, how do you plan to maximise your exposure effectively?

With regards to the economic situation, we believe it is important to ensure our budgets are used effectively and smartly and this is what we will continue to do next year.
