EIBTM is calling for entries to its WorldWide Technology Watch (WWTW) 2009 competition – and closing date for entries is September 4.

The event’s competition is aimed at discovering the latest technological innovations that will have a positive impact on meetings, events, incentive travel, conferences and exhibitions.

The winner will receive a free stand at the MPI Technology Village @ EIBTM 2009 and the opportunity to present their product at the international meetings event due to take place in Barcelona, Spain, from December 1 to 3.
EIBTM forms part of the Reed Travel Exhibitions portfolio of global meetings and incentives events. To enter the awards visit www.eibtm.com/wwtw.

A panel of judges is headed by chairman Corbin Ball CMP Corbin Ball Associates. He said, “Meetings technology is progressing at a rapid rate and is an increasingly vital tool for the meeting planner. The EIBTM WorldWide Technology Watch has, over recent years, brought to the industry’s attention some of the most exciting new and innovative technological developments.”

The judges will consider the entries on three criteria – innovation, completeness of product and value to users at events.
Mandy Torrens, EIBTM’s event director said, “WorldWide Technology Watch is an established and integral part of EIBTM as it nurtures innovative technology products which will enhance the future of the industry.”

“We would encourage any company offering a new technological solution to the meetings industry to enter the competition. Past winners, such as Spotme and last year’s winner MeetingMetrics, have significantly benefited from receiving industry recognition and gaining media attention and exposure for their product,” she said. Judging will take place on October 7.
