THRIFTY Rent a Car in the UAE has announced summer promotions adapted to the current economic climate.
Valid in Dubai, Sharjah and the northern emirates until September 15, the promotion targets both holidaymakers and business travellers. Included is pick up and drop off anywhere within Dubai, Sharjah and northern emirates, with no additional charge, plus a month free for every three month rental.
Weekend visitors to the UAE can enjoy a flexible return on Sunday policy by 10 am, thus enjoying a half a day extra on their rental car. In addition, guests hiring a vehicle between 10 am and 12 noon on a Sunday and returning it on Wednesday before 9.30 pm, will be given extra benefits.
“Thrifty has enjoyed 20 years of the UAE’s growth and profitability, and now in challenging times, it is our chance to give something back to our customers who are especially value conscious at this time. Our aim is to provide the best possible deals, offering convenient extras to enable them to economically manage their travel,” said Sam Eltibi, executive director, Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, MENA and Asia Pacific.
“During the last quarter, Thrifty had taken measures to lower the cost structure to enable us to accommodate these promotions,” said Rahul Singh, general manager for Thrifty Rent a Car UAE.
“We see a trend of customers choosing small to mid-size cars during these economically challenging times and have lined up the latest models available.”
“While the outlook for the summer is slow, we expect a lot of last-minute business travellers as well as regional holiday makers who would travel closer to home instead of further away,” said Singh.
Thrifty has over 30 full service outlets in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Sharjah and Al Ain.
