JAZ Oriental Resort on the northern coast of Egypt is due to open this month, and will be added to Jaz Hotels, Resorts & Cruises portfolio as part of its Almaza Bay collection.
Almaza Bay on the Mediterranean Sea, just 38 km east of Mersa Matruh Airport in Egypt, offers stunning views and crystal clear waters. Jaz Oriental Resort will be offering 212 rooms including four suites with private swimming pool, all overlooking the sea. Non smoking rooms are also available upon request.
The resort’s main restaurant offers a fusion buffet available breakfast, lunch and dinner, and guests have the option to take their meals indoors or outdoors overlooking the gardens, beach or swimming pool. A Lebanese restaurant is another dining option.
Sports facilities include two tennis courts, a multi-purpose court, beach volleyball, diving, gym, health club, amphitheatre, billiards room plus an archery club, kids’ club and shopping arcade.
Transfers to and from the airport are offered by the resort’s shuttle bus service. Aside from Mersa Matruh’s legendary pristine beaches and crystal turquoise waters, guests can also enjoy the history of the city dating as far back as the Graeco-Roman period.

Jaz Almaza Beach Resort has 395 rooms, three restaurants, four bars and four swimming pools (two children’s pools), indoor games including table tennis, billiards/pool and darts. Live music shows with dancing and cabaret at regular intervals during the day and night are highlights for some guests.
Jaz Crystal Resort is Jaz Hotels, Resorts & Cruises second major development in Almaza Bay. The resort opened in May this year and offers 200 modern furnished rooms overlooking four miles of soft white sand private beach. A choice of two restaurants and three bars, three swimming pools (including one heated children’s freshwater pool) and a lagoon offer opportunities for either relaxation or strenuous water play. Live music and shows are regularly performed at the amphitheatre.
Sol Y Mar Dolphin House is also opening in June, and is a four star hotel managed by Jaz Hotels, Resorts & Cruises. The area is an ideal destination for dolphin enthusiasts and scuba divers as well as those in search of a relaxing holiday. The hotel is close to one of the most popular dive sites off the coast of Marsa Alam - Samadai Reef. This reef is also known as Dolphin House because a large number of spinner dolphins have made it their home.
The hotel has 200 guest rooms all with either a balcony or a terrace with a sea or garden view.
