Hans J Henk has been appointed as general manager of The Leela Mumbai, a major Kempinski hotel in India.
Henk brings with him a wealth of experience gained in the opening and refurbishing of several five star hotels in various parts of Asia, said a hotel statement.
Most recent was the $12 million major refurbishment of The Lanka Oberoi in Sri Lanka and prior to that, the opening of the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel and the Peninsula's Palace Hotel, both in Beijing.
This experience will be particularly useful to The Leela - Mumbai, on whose doorstep several new international hotels are in the process of opening their doors.
Having graduated from Heidelberg Hotel Management School, Henk began his career in Frankfurt with the Inter-Continental Hotels.
