The Crowne Plaza Jeddah will be showcasing its extensive conference and banqueting facilities at this month's AIBTM as part of its efforts to increase awareness of the hotel in GCC and international markets.
The hotel, located on the Jeddah Corniche, offers a comprehensive range of fully equipped meeting rooms, conference facilities and banquet hall.
"The Crystal Ballroom is the largest and most prestigious hotel banquet hall in Jeddah offering more than 1,080 sq m of space to accommodate up to 1,200 people "reception-style" or up to 800 seated," says director of sales and marketing Ashraf Refaat.
"The ballroom, with its 18 chandeliers, can be divided into four equal sections with soundproof moveable walls and the latest hl-tech audio-visual equipment, special effects lighting and LCD projection."
The Crowne Plaza offers its own selection of shops and facilities including a gift shop, flower shop, oriental carpet shop, car rental and limousine service and a barber shop.
Its business centre provides a wide range of translation and other services to facilitate the business traveller's needs.
With the Worldwide Reservations Office at the front desk, guests can book onward travel arrangements to over 2,000 hotels belonging to Six Continents group around the world.
The Crowne Plaza is offering a preferential rate for a double room with breakfast for two adults and two children below 12 years of age under its Corporate Weekend Winter promotion. The promotion continues until March.
Under another "Winter Promotion" launched to derive more room nights from the local market, the hotel is offering the same rate for both single and double rooms and discounted rates for junior suite, executive and royal apartments.
The hotel, which has 323 well appointed rooms and 60 newly-furnished apartments, also offers a wide range of world-class international cuisine including Continental, Arabic, Japanese and Chinese to meet the culinary tastes of all travellers
Guests can enjoy a variety of sports and leisure facilities available at the Al Waha Health and Sports Club including an outdoor swimming pool, well-equipped gymnasium, sauna and two squash courts.
Refaat said the hotel is set to undergo a major renovation programme soon.
Referring to the aftermath of the September 11 attacks in the US, Refaat said the Crowne Plaza had implemented several contingency measures to procure alternative sources of business as well as trimming internal expenses.
