Golden Beach Hotels Ghana, consisting of La Palm Royal Beach Hotel Elmina Beach Resort and Busua Beach Resort, has established a reputation for managing some of the finest beach resorts in Ghana.
This leading hospitality group offers three luxurious beachfront hotels which also feature facilities for large conferences and meetings.
At the October World Travel Awards 2007, established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate achievements of the global travel industry, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel received the award of “Ghana’s Leading Hotel”.
Last year at the Akwaaba Leisure Awards, this same hotel was voted the best conference destination in West Africa – it features a 1,500 seating capacity convention centre. La Palm also accommodated His Royal Highness Prince Philip and his delegation, as well as the US president George Bush during their recent visits to Ghana. Located in the heart of Accra, La Palm is also an ideal location for a getaway offering eight restaurants and bars, a pub, world class casino and a newly renovated spa and health club showcasing state-of-the-art equipment.  Busua Beach Resort, a subsidiary of the Golden Beach Hotels group, was voted the Best Leisure Hotel in West Africa at the Akwaaba Leisure Awards in 2007. The hotel in the western region has 53 rooms in chalet style, a private island situated on pristine sandy beaches, and many water sports activities.
During the recent African Cup of Nations, Elmina Beach Resort located in the central region of Ghana housed some Confederation of African Football (CAF) officials and the national teams of Mali and Benin. Amr Fahmey, assistant manager at CAF headquarters, said of his visit, “It is difficult for me to forget the experience here. My colleagues in Kumasi and Accra have no idea what they are missing. I’d love to come back on my holiday.”
Each hotel is the benchmark in hotel conferencing, leisure and service standards. Private chalets feature full kitchenettes, well-designed living and sleeping areas and Wi-Fi and high speed internet access.  At the WTM the Ghana stand is AF4675.
