Layia Oak Hotel & Suites in Dubai’s Al Barsha district opens this month, heralding the arrival of a new brand and new hospitality concept to the city. The four star property will be the first hotel venture of Layia Hospitality.
“Layia Oak Hotel & Suites will set a new precedent in hospitality, offering all the comforts and conveniences of home backed up with the world class hotel brand services. We believe this concept in hospitality will prove popular with both business and leisure travellers, as people demand more from their accommodation offering,” said Mohamed Awadalla, area vice president, Layia Hospitality.
The 14 storey glass and steel structure lies in Al Barsha facing The Greens, off Sheikh Zayed Road, near the Mall of the Emirates and the Ibn Battuta Mall. It is about 25 minutes away from the Dubai International Airport, and Media City, Internet City, Knowledge Village and Emaar Business Park are adjacent to the property.
Combining the comfort of apartment living with the high end services of a hotel, Layia Oak Hotel & Suites will offer a total of 161 rooms and suites split between 70 one bedroom suites (75 sq m), 59 two bedroom suites (110 sq m) and 32 three bedroom suites (160 sq m).
“All units are spacious, modern, tastefully and elegantly furnished. They are fully equipped up to the smallest detail including a premier quality of beds and high speed internet facilities throughout the property,” said Awadalla.
Each has been designed as a self contained unit, with LCD TV, cooker, microwave, washing/drying machine, fridge, and safe in each type of accommodation. With a fully fitted kitchen in all units, guests can cater for themselves, or choose from one of three dining outlets. Petals all day dining restaurant on the ground level, is the hotel’s main dining venue offering a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as offering an a la carte option. The cuisine is contemporary Middle Eastern with an international touch.
Vanilla café and lounge in the hotel’s lobby offers coffee, tea, desserts and beverages. For al fresco dining, the Waves Pool Lounge offers snacks and chilled drinks around the swimming pool.
