ITE Travel Exhibitions will hold a Central European Travel Trade Week in early February which will incorporate several significant Central European travel industry activities and culminate in the 11th edition of Holiday World 2002.

The week is set for February 5-10 next year and is a co-operative effort between the Central European Countries Travel Association (Cecta), TTG Czech Republic, COT, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and ITE to bring the international travel industry together for a week to focus on central Europe.

The week will begin with the launch of the Central European Chapter of MPI on February 5.

Professionals in the regional travel industry recognise the enormous potential of the MICE sector and are keen to develop international business and educational links via MPI.

On February 6, ITE and Cecta will jointly organise the 2nd annual Central European Travel Conference at the Intercontinental Hotel, Prague.

The theme of the conference will focus on how to bring MICE business to the region. Confirmed speakers include Tim Zagat, CEO of NYC & Co., Mike Moore Jr. of AOL-Time Warner Europe, SITE, MPI, and many other thought leaders in the industry.

Holiday World 2002 will be held for trade only on February 7 and 8.

This specialist travel trade exhibition has developed to become the premier industry event for the region specifically targeting the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and Poland.

Destinations from Austria to Dubai and Malaysia to Montenegro will be exhibiting as they tap into the central European market.

ITE Travel Exhibitions decided earlier this year to concentrate on core events in Russia, the CIS and Central Europe for 2002.
