New GM at the Conrad Cairo
Kevin Brett has joined Conrad Hotels & Resorts as general manager of the Conrad Cairo. Brett spent the past five years working in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, and was previously GM at the Hilton Abu Dhabi. He has also worked for the Conrad Istanbul, Turkey.
Schroth at Kempinski Mall of the Emirates
Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates has appointed Holger Schroth as the new general manager. Schroth was previously general manager of the Kempinski Hotel Airport in Munich. Prior to that, he was Kempinski Resort Hotel Estepona’s top executive from 2000 to 2005.
Saber appointment at Grand Millennium
Bassem Saber has been appointed as sales account manager for the corporate market at the Grand Millennium Dubai. He brings with him wide experience in hospitality including in the fields of food and beverage, events and sales. He was previously at the Al Bustan Rotana, Dubai.
Chowne at Ritz-Carlton Bahrain
Khalid Chowne moves to Bahrain as the newly appointed director of engineering of the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel and Spa. Prior to his new appointment, Chowne was maintenance manager for over 25 years at the five-star luxury resort Sunset Beach, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.
IHG appoints Ebo
InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the appointment of Daniel Ebo, as the area director of sales and marketing for Africa. Ebo brings with him over 10 years experience in the hospitality industry and will oversee the groups 14 properties from his new base in Nairobi.
New appointments at Marriott Bahrain
Hossein Garan has been appointed general manager of the Marriott Executive Apartments, Bahrain. Garan has been with Marriott for 21 years and was most recently director of operations in JW Marriott Kuwait. Marwan Haddad has been appointed as director of sales of the hotel.
New GM at Kempicki Ishtar
Kempinski Hotels introduces Bugra Berberoglu as general manager of Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea. He will also hold the post of regional director. He was previously at the Kempinski Hotel Djibouti. He worked with InterContinental group prior to joining Kempinski as general manager in Chad.
IHG appoints Araj
InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Ahmad Araj as the new director of sales and marketing at InterContinental Al Ain Resort. Araj has held roles at numerous hotels in Dubai and brings over 10 years of experience in the hospitality
New faces at Four Seasons Riyadh
Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh have announced the appointment of Yasser Galal El Din (left) as director of rooms from his previous role with Four Seasons Cairo. Urs Solenthaler has been appointed as F&B director. Prior to this he worked in hotels in England and Switzerland.
Werf joins Towers Rotana
Rogier van der Werf is the new employee development manager at the Towers Rotana Dubai. He has been working with Al Bustan Rotana Dubai since 2006 as employee development officer. In his new role, he looks forward to develop his team members within the property.
Per Aquum appoints Jarosch
Per Aquum has announced the appointment of Axel Jarosch as general manager of the Desert Palm, Dubai. Jarosch was previously general manager of The Fortress in Sri Lanka. He brings with him a career history focusing on luxury operations in the Middle and Far East.

Swiss-Belhotel bolsters team
Swiss-Belhotel Middle East appointed Walid Mehiri as regional director of sales and marketing, Middle East. Mehiri brings with him 12 years of experience working in four and five star international brands and was previously pre-opening general manager of the Ramada Crown Residence in Saudi Arabia.
New appointments at InterCon Regency
The InterContinental Regency Bahrain has appointed Krikor Kukeyan (left) as executive assistant manager. He was previously executive assistant manager at the InterContinental Libreville in Gabon Africa.
Ryan P Advincula has been appointed as public relations manager for the hotel.
Hill is CEO for Oman Air
The Oman Air Company has announced the appointment of Peter Hill as the company’s new chief executive officer. Hill brings a depth of experience having served in senior positions for several major international carriers. In his new capacity, he will serve as a resource for all Oman Air employees.
Ainen joins Media Rotana Dubai
Mustafa Ainen is the new general manager of the Media Rotana Dubai due to open in September. Ainen joined Rotana Hotels in 1995 and has managed Rotana hotels in Oman, Sharjah and Dubai. He has previously worked with the Hilton and InterContinental in Cairo, UAE & UK.
Terrettaz at Sharq Village & Spa
Matthias Terrettaz has been appointed executive assistant manager of F&B at Sharq Village and Spa. He was previously at the Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo. His has also worked in the food and beverage departments in the company’s San Francisco, New York Central Park, and Hong Kong properties.
Kempinski appoints key executives
Kempinski Hotel’s Middle East and Africa operations have announced the promotion of Doaa Amin to regional director operations support. Amin was previously marketing manager of the Kempinski MOE. The group has also appointment Ayman Ezzeddine as regional operations manager.

Movenpick Hotels & Resorts Jordan has appointed two new team members based at the Movenpick Hotels & Resorts Jordan sales office in Amman, Jordan. Sean Cullen (left) takes charge as director of sales and marketing and Shareef Elias Kharouba joins as director of sales for Jordan.
Emaar Hospitality appoints Mares
