UAE residents’ Atlantis package
Atlantis on The Palm Jumeirah, set to open its doors on September 24, is offering residents of the UAE a special “Dive In” package valid until October 1.
Applicable to UAE residents only upon presentation of ID and visa, all bookings must be made by July 31. The offer is inclusive of municipality fee and service charge and Aquaventure pass, six months validity from issue. Cost:  Dh2,260 per deluxe guest room per night including breakfast, and two return complimentary Aquaventure passes (retailing at Dh220 per visit) and beach access for two. The resort features an 18 million litres of water themed amusement at Aquaventure, extensive fresh and salt water pools and lagoon exhibits, an open air marine habitat, 17 restaurants and 1,539 rooms.
Crowne Plaza meeting success
“Meeting Success” is Crowne Plaza Jeddah’s dedicated meeting service which offers clients flexible and personalised services. The hotel has meeting and conference services with many key benefits including a meetings manager as a single point of contact. Daily debriefings with this manager are available to fine tune every aspect of an event organised with them. In addition, there is a two hour “response guarantee” upon requesting a quotation. Facilities include the latest audio visual, IT and telecommunications equipment, an on site business centre plus 24 hour fax and photocopying service. The Crowne meeting rooms are on the first floor of the hotel, and a newly constructed state of the art meeting rooms will accommodate from 10 to 100 guests with different meetings set up available.
Chi pioneers Ramada brand in AUH
Malta based CHI Hotels and Resorts (formerly Corinthia Hotels International) announced the signing of a 10 year technical and hotel management agreement with Mainland Investment of Abu Dhabi, a wholly owned subsidiary of The National Investor (TNI). The agreement foresees the renovation, extension and operation of the current 120 room Mafraq Hotel in Abu Dhabi, to be re launched as the Ramada Abu Dhabi Mafraq hotel in early 2010. Designed in the Arabic style, the existing Mafraq hotel, with 120 rooms and suites, is located in the heart of Mafraq, Abu Dhabi. Work on renovating the existing rooms and construction of a further 130 rooms will commence in 2008 and is expected to finish by early 2010.
Rezidor launches two Dubai hotels
The Rezidor Hotel Group will strengthen its UAE property portfolio with the launch of two new hotels in the DMCC Business Park - a 13.8 hectare free zone authority offering 50 year guaranteed tax holiday, 100 per cent business ownership, and a secure regulated environment. The dual Rezidor property, which will open in the third quarter of 2011, will encompass the 150 room Radisson DMCC Business Park Hotel, Dubai and a second yet unbranded 300 room hotel in a 32 storey complex located at the centre of the development.
These two new contracts bring the group’s portfolio in the emirate to 10 properties in operation and under development. The Radisson DMCC Business Park Hotel, Dubai will hold three restaurants, an executive lounge, a ballroom, meeting rooms and fitness facilities as well as ample parking space.
