ASIA Luxury Travel Market, aimed exclusively at the luxury end of the travel industry, was presented with the Five Star Diamond Award by The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences during ALTM.
Vittorio Gai, international general manager, presented the award to Jay Martens, ALTM’s event director at the show’s opening party at Shanghai Sculpture Space.
Commenting on this achievement Jay Martens said, “We are honoured to have received this highly coveted award that recognises the success of ALTM and its determination to drive the luxury travel industry forward in this region and act as a conduit for providers and buyers to meet.”
Given by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences based in New York, USA, this award is given to recipients for their commitment towards excellence in luxury and service, with in-depth evaluations conducted and reviewed by an international board of trustees.
All members of the board are respected leaders in the industry and are themselves, world travellers. Valuable sources around the globe routinely submit nominations for review and the board then refines the selection to those who qualify for the ultimate evaluation.
The decisions of the American Academy are based on whether a nominee demonstrates a commitment to excellence and hospitality within its category and classification.
