KEMPINSKI Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea launches its enormous 10,000sqm Anantara Spa this month to make it one largest holistic complexes in the Middle East.
The spa is themed on astronomy.
“The much anticipated opening of our Anantara Spa will see the hotel attain greater status as the premium relaxation and rejuvenation venue in the region. Spa’s are now an essential part of any five star resort operation and given the magnificent natural location and properties of the Dead Sea, we felt it was imperative to pay homage to this amazing resource with a truly outstanding holistic hideaway,” said Duncan O’Rourke, general manager, Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea.
The spa will have 20 treatment rooms indoors, as well as outdoor therapy lounges, overlooking the Dead Sea. The spa’s wet facilities will include a traditional Moroccan hammam, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi’s, natural Dead Sea mineral pools, hydro bubble pool, steam rooms and a Watsu pool.
Locational advantages include ozone rich air, mineral loaded sea water and mud from the Dead Sea. Anantara’s elixirs and oils are made from indigenous ingredients; traditional beauty essences include sandalwood, ylang-ylang, patchouli, mandarin, lavender, lemongrass and ginger. There is also a studio for yoga, Tai Chi, pilates and meditation, and a full fledged tennis club, accessible to all hotel guests, and 28 single level and duplex spa suites.
“Guests can look forward to an extraordinary wellness experience that combines the great therapeutic traditions of the world. The Anantara Spa brand offers a holistic approach to wellness with noticeably unique culturally-adaptive treatments, and we’re happy we are able to offer this unique spa experience to our guests at Kempinski Hotel Ishtar,” said O’Rourke.
