Cool off with Swiss getaways

Families from the Middle East can escape the heat and head for scenic and refreshing Switzerland with Swiss International Air Lines (Swiss) and its tour operator partners Swisstours and Al Rostamani Holidays, which recently launch summer packages.

“Summer is a good time to enjoy and an opportunity to build a collection of wonderful travel experiences,” said Martin Massüger, director, head of sales Middle East, Africa, Pakistan and Iran, Swiss.
“Our partnerships with the UAE’s leading tour operators will attest to our commitment with the various travel packages we have designed for our customers’ enjoyment.”
Packages include the Tops of Switzerland package, starting at Dh4,100 plus taxes.  Travellers get to enjoy the scenic Jungfraujoch or the Top of Europe where snow and ice are guaranteed all year round.  Attractions at Jungfraujoch include the beautiful Ice Palace, the Sphinx, Observation building overlooking the Aletsch glacier and the Snow Disk Run.  A trip to Mt Pilatus offers a unique excursion with the world’s steepest railway, spectacular cable cars, and modern panorama gondolas.
The offer includes economy return tickets on Swiss excluding taxes, a combined four night, five day accommodation with daily breakfasts at Interlaken and Lucerne and transfers.
Al Rostamani’s Majestic Switzerland offer covers St Moritz, Glacier Express, Zermatt, Gornegrat, Interlaken, Jungfraujoch, Luzern and Titlis for a nine day tour.  Hotel accommodation, breakfasts and SWISS return economy tickets and rail passes are available forDh7,875 on a twin sharing basis per person and valid for travel from June 1.
Swisstours offers Swiss Highlights, an eight days/seven nights package covering Geneva, Zermatt, Interlaken, Lucerne, excursions to Jungfraujoch and Mt Pilatus inclusive of hotel stays with breakfast, Swiss economy return tickets and a Swiss Card for rail transfers.
The Southern Hint package offers sightseeing trips to Switzerland’s scenic south with tours to Lugano, Lucerne, Interlaken, with excursions on Titlis and Schilthorn plus second class train tickets for Lugano-Melide-Lugano with entrance to Swiss Miniatur. The package includes return economy tickets via Swiss, hotel stays with breakfast, Swiss Card with four transfers in second class coach.
Summer on ice is possible with the Glacier Experience package for seven-days/six nights which includes return economy tickets on Swiss, Swiss Card with five transfers in second class, hotel stays with breakfast at Interlaken, Zermatt, Chur and Lucerne plus excursions to Schiltorn and Titlis including ice flyer chairlift.
There is also a 10 days/9 nights package taking in Lugano, Zermatt, Geneva, Lausanne or Montreux, Interlaken, Lucerne and excursions to Mt Pilatus and Schilthorn.
For business travellers, the airline launched its summer deals starting from Dh9,090.
