Anahita opens its windows onto the Indian Ocean

MAURITIUS based Anahita World Class Sanctuary is opening its doors on June 1.

Managed by Anahita Residences and Villas, this vast 213 hectare property at Beau Champ, Grande Rivière Sud Est, is set in luxuriant vegetation and bordered by a coastal lagoon.
The development will be a community where residents and tourists of all ages will be able to enjoy a wide variety of recreational pursuits including dining, shopping, entertainment, sports and leisure as well as ecological interaction and education.
Alec Bathfield, regional sales and marketing manager for the company will be at Arabian Travel Market to discuss the new opening.
The Anahita development forms part of the Deep River Beau Champ Sugar Estate on the eastern coast of Mauritius, a coastline renowned for its calm lagoon waters.
All facilities and amenities are designed and constructed to the highest international standards and reflect the eclectic combination of cultures and the coastal fusion of traditions and styles that are distinct to the island of Mauritius.
In its design the company ensured that conservation was observed and has preserved its indigenous flora and fauna and cultural resources. Guests can appreciate unique features inherent to the site, such as the mangroves and the natural pond, Bassin Lubine.
About 5000 Java stags, wild boars, monkeys, kestrels, Mauritian cardinals, bats and other rare native birds can be found on the island.
Anahita is approximately 30 kilometres drive from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU).
L’Adamante Waterfront Residences are adjacent to the watercourses, an area containing both the Waterfront Development and exclusive Resident’s Village: both serving as the social focus for those living on the estate.
‘La Place Belgath’ is the community hub for residents of Anahita, with restaurants and cafés. Residents and visitors will be able to stroll along the corniche, shop, browse, as well as wine and dine. It is also the activity focus for boats and access to pirogue ferry facilities, which will depart on the quay and connect Anahita to Ile aux Cerfs and other outer island ventures. Leisure aquatic activities will include diving, windsurfing, kite surfing, paddle boats and swimming.
Two and three bedroom residential apartments are arranged in an informal manner with good views towards the lagoon and the fairway along the 9th hole. ‘Lockup and go’ layouts keep maintenance to a minimum whilst generous balconies with plunge pools encourage an outdoor lifestyle.
The spacious residences have open plan living areas, generous windows and Mauritian verandas. Each has a private plunge pool.
There is a king size master bedroom, queensize guest bedroom (both with ensuite bathrooms), air conditioning throughout the entire residence, walk in closet, fully fitted kitchen, living room, dining room, washer/dryer, LCD televisions, DVD player, WIFI, furnished veranda, and personal residence host services.
A two bedroom residence is 180x185 sq m, and based on four people, rates are from $1,348 per night bed and breakfast. A two bedroom residence with den is 210 sq m, and cost based on four adults and two children are from $1,513 per night, bed and breakfast.
A three bedroom residence is 210x240 sq m, cost based on six people from $1,685 per night, bed and breakfast.
Anahita Residences at L’Adamante are a brief waterfront stroll – with fabulous views – from La Place Belgath. Facilities at the resort include restaurants, cafes, boutiques, Origine, offering refined cuisine with the best Mauritian products, Sugar, a café and delicatessen, boutiques, florists, twin infinity edge swimming pools,  a white sandy beach overlooking the Ile aux Cerfs, Wellbeing  Beauty Centre, fully equipped gymnasium with personal trainer services and events coordination for teenagers. There is also a children’s club from eight months to 13 years, quayside, Watersports Boathouse and Golf Club House.
Ernie Els has created a championship golf course at Anahita, around an endemic forest and Coral Sea lagoon. It is managed by Four Seasons hotel and resort management.
The Four Seasons Golf Academy believes in a complete approach to game improvement, covering all aspects of the game, including the full swing, the short game, course management, practice techniques and mental training. The studio will provide the ultimate in video and computerised swing analysis system.
Off site activities include the Ciel et Nature, conceived by the CIEL group to share with the public the beauty of the Mauritian landscape, Ciel et Nature Ltée was created in 2002 and manages several ecotourism sites on the east of the island. Discover on foot, by 4x4 or quad, it lies on the eastern and western slopes of the Mountain Bamboos, between L’Etoile and the boundary of Ferney.
