RIYADH’S Al Faisaliah Hotel has underlined its reputation as Saudi Arabia’s leading special events and conference venue by staging the 30th King Faisal International Prize awards ceremony.
King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, received the King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam, one of the world's most prestigious awards, during the recent ceremony.
Over 1,000 guests including royal princes, VIPs and dignitaries attended the event in the Prince Sultan Grand Hall at Al Faisaliah, a Rosewood Hotel, to witness King Abdullah receive the award in recognition of his outstanding services to Islam and Muslims at home and abroad.
The king was presented with the award by HRH Prince Khalid Al Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, director general of the King Faisal Foundation.
