Bahrain International Travel Expo - BITE 2008 - takes a bigger lead in promoting travel and tourism from around the world.
HH Shaikh Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, crown prince and chairman of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, will inaugurate the Expo in the afternoon of Wednesday May 14 at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.
Airlines, car rental organisations, cruise lines, health resorts, spas, hotels, MICE organisers, tourism boards, tourism TV channels, tour operators, travel agents, medical tourism specialists, education providers, travel insurance companies as well as travel and tourism publishers will have an opportunity to interact with around 20,000 consumers and international MICE buyers to showcase their respective products and services.
BITE 2008 is a place to generate and explore new leads, expand and consolidate business connections and address specific products for personal and corporate needs, say the organisers Magnum Events and Exhibitions Management (MEEM).
At BITE 2008 travellers and travel industry professionals can discover a wide range of vacation destinations and holiday packages and education options around the world. It is the venue where consumers get to meet leading travel and tourism providers, to obtain the latest information about the travel and tourism industry trends, in addition to strengthening and developing business networks with old and new suppliers.
For the third consecutive year the MICE hosted buyers programme will be organised for key international MICE planners from around the world. The programme includes one-on-one meetings between buyers and sellers at the travel show.
A career and education counselling corner has been established this year up to provide up-to-date information and career opportunities for interested students. At a career profiling corner visitors can partake in an online survey to get an insight into what educational direction suits them best according to their character. Many students from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Iran, Iraq, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain are expected to attend this year’s show.
The show will be open to trade and consumers from Thursday May 15 to 17.
Organisations and individuals are welcome to participate as exhibitors and as MICE hosted buyers. Visit the website www.bitebahrain.com or contact them at [email protected].
