THE EIBTM 2007 Meeting and Incentive Industry Awards have received a record number of entries this year with agencies submitting events from corporate clients such as Vodaphone, BT, Honda, BMW, L’Oreal, Mercedes, Barclays Bank and Porsche.
These awards recognise the contribution, creativity and dedication of meetings and incentives professionals enabling them to achieve global recognition and exposure for their outstanding events and campaigns. The six categories will reward excellence, innovation, creativity and skill across all events and marketing campaigns.
This year marks the introduction of a new Best Special Event category to recognise the most imaginative and impactful stand alone events from awards ceremonies to charity events. This award has received the most entries of all award categories for 2007.

An international panel of EIBTM Awards Media Partners from within the meetings and incentives industry constitute the jury, which will be chaired by industry expert Jeremy Garbett.
Winners will be announced at EIBTM during a special award ceremony.
SPOT ME
The WorldWide Technology Watch (WWTW) competition also received a record number of entries from 40 different companies, and Shockfish SA has been declared the winner with the new SpotMe. The judging committee felt that this product scored highly in all three judging criteria: innovation, completeness of concept, and value to users at events. For the second year running a European technology provider has been rewarded, at a time when the competition has received a record number of entries from over 40 different international companies.
The new SpotMe is a wireless communication system for meetings, conferences, and events. The centerpiece of the service is a purpose-built wireless handheld device that provides event information and communication tools to participants.
Shockfish will be displaying the product on stand 0513/0514 at the MPI Technology Village at EIBTM.
