THE new-look Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa will open late next year following a complete renovation and facelift.
“Scheduled to open by October 2008, the revamped Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa will introduce the world’s greatest open-air museum – Luxor – with the city’s first world-class spa,” said Simon Hasdell, vice-president, Operations, Hilton Hotels, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan & North Africa.
Visitors to WTM will be able to taste this atmosphere by experiencing a mini spa treatment at the hotel’s relaxation and tranquillity room at the exhibition.
Visitors to the hotel itself, next year, will be struck by the magnificence of Luxor, which contains nearly one third of the world’s antiquities.
There is hardly a place in Luxor without a relic that reflects the greatness of ancient Egypt’s 7000-year-old civilization. Impressed by its magnificent and huge edifices the Arabs called it Luxor or the city of Palaces, and Homer called it the city of one hundred gates.
“Alongside Luxor’s natural grandeur and magnificence, the 236-room world-class resort and spa will have a very fresh and contemporary look,” said Hasdell. “We will be able to maintain our commitment to guests by providing quality accommodation, outstand-ing facilities and superior service.”
The new resort will offer guests a wide view of the river Nile with its open and spacious landscape.
The lobby area will be enlarged to feature a separate check-in reception for groups, and a lounge in addition to a variety of food and beverage outlets, and an exclusive section for deluxe rooms.
The spa will have its own entrance separate from the main resort, with its own spa suites, and treatment rooms.
In addition, there will be a dedicated lounge and sun deck relaxation area, as well as an infinity relaxation pool.
The variety of outlets will include the Sunset Lounge & Terrace overlooking the River Nile serving drinks and snacks, as well as Rosetta, the resort’s main dining venue with indoor and outdoor seating. The resort will continue to offer an unforgettable dining experience on a felucca or a traditional sailing boat, with catered meals upon request.
