THE Kempinski Hotel Aqaba, currently under construction , is set to open spring 2008.
It will be the third Kempinski in Jordan, after the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea and the Kempinski Hotel Amman.
“The development of this property highlights Kempinski’s ongoing strategy to enter diverse emerging destinations. Aqaba was an obvious choice as it boasts stunning natural scenery, fantastic water sports and a rapidly evolving tourism infrastructure,” said Duncan O’Rourke, general manager, Kempinski Ishtar Dead Sea, and regional director, Jordan.
“The resort will add significant leverage to our other properties in Jordan and contribute to the future of the tourism industry in the country”.
The hotel will have 200 elegant rooms and suites overlooking a private beach and the Red Sea, five varied dining and lounge venues, a resort spa, a health club, kids’ club and more.
For the MICE market, the resort will provide a fully equipped business centre, a large ballroom and several meeting rooms
