Resort set to debut at ATM


The five-star Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort & Towers will be making its debut under the Starwood banner at the Arabian Travel Market.

Just 25 minutes' drive from the centre of Dubai, the sea-front property, which has a long stretch of white, sandy beach and beautifully landscaped gardens, is exhibiting at the ATM under its new name of the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort & Towers.

"The Arabian Travel Market is the most important travel show for this region," said John Lagos, General Manager, Sheraton Jumeirah Beach.

"It's an ideal opportunity to meet the movers and shakers of the travel industry and showcase the Sheraton chain's latest UAE property".

The management will be particularly looking to meet with GCC travel operators.

"There has been a massive growth in the number of short-break GCC tourists to Dubai," said Bassam El-Khoury, Director of Sales & Marketing of the property.

"Whilst Europeans still dominate the number of guests in the hotel, we have seen a rising trend in the number of families, especially those coming to the UAE for short holidays".

The Sheraton Towers, with 255 beautifully appointed guest rooms, provides high standards of comfort with many extras - private bath and shower, air conditioning, windows, IDD voice mail phones, dataport, satellite TV and radio, safe and mini bar.

There is a range of relaxed dining choices: The Peacock Restaurant (Chinese), The Grotto Italiano and The Grill Room (Steak and Seafood).
