Nominated as one of the world's best newcomers, Le Spa at Le Meridien Limassol Spa and Resort has put Cyprus firmly on the world of spa destinations.

Le Meridien Limassol changed its name to Le Meridien Limassol Spa & Resort last year to reflect the changes at the hotel and the huge investment in its new spa facilities that are unrivalled in the Mediterranean.

"No expense was spared for the development which covers 3,000sq m and includes four outdoor and three indoor seawater pools, each with a different salinity content and temperature, a Hammam, steam bath, saunas, whirlpools and 20 treatment rooms staffed by experienced beauticians, hairdressers, specialists in Thalassotherapy treatments and massage plus an in-house doctor," said a spokesman.

Le Spa offers Thalassotherapy treatments for men and women which address the body and mind, aesthetics and health. The resort offers several one-week packages to choose from and they include the "Fitness and Wellness Week", the "Anti-Stress Week", the "Weight Control Week" and the "Beauty Week".

A typical programme includes a medical evaluation, supervised Thalassotherapy programme, sea oil treatment, different kinds of massages, facials, mud treatments and thalasso-wraps. The one-week packages start from 700 Cyprus pounds ($1,113) and shorter breaks are also available.
