The Ayoma Spa at the Taj Palace Hotel, Dubai's newest five-star property, offers guests holistic, long-term, personalised lifestyle and spa solutions.
The Ayoma Spa at Taj is one of the only 14 spas worldwide set up by US-based Ayoma Inc, a leading provider of Ayurvedic spa product and natural therapy treatments.
Ayurveda is the ancient Indian life science which has often been called the "mother of Asian therapies", influencing the creation of everything from Thai Massage to acupuncture and other Asian herbal therapies.
"Ayoma addresses individual lifestyle issues from a unique perspective, tailoring to specific health, fitness and nutrition needs and providing long-term, personalized lifestyle and spa solutions," said a spokesman.
"The word Ayoma comes from Ayurveda and 'Om', the symbol of the Supreme Energy that pervades life. Therapies include rejuvenating massage and body treatments, food programs, personal fitness programs, workshops, spa, and other lifestyle treatments.
"The Ayoma spa therapies are tailored to the individual's specific needs to achieve ultimate balance and wellness."
Ayoma also provides a range of cooling summer products for skin and hair care that are ideal for the weather conditions in the region.
The product line developed by founder Reena Malhotra "release toxins that have built up over the years and set the foundation for long-term healthy skin", the spokesman said.
The spa at Taj Palace is managed by Prabhat Menon, a native of Kerala, India, who specialises in south Indian Ayurvedic style therapies.
Located in the Deira district, a five-minute drive from the Dubai International Airport, the Taj Palace offers 159 hotel rooms and 90 serviced apartments including 10 executive suites and two royal suites.
