Sweet indulgence at Hilton RAK

HILTON’S newest property in the region, the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa, has opened its spectacular 2,000 square metre spa.

The resort is set in a private bay within 30 metres of an 800 metre stretch of white, sandy beach looking onto the Arabian Sea. The sea-facing spa, one of the largest in the UAE, is comprised of nine treatment rooms, a salon, sauna, steam, Jacuzzi, Turkish Hammam, a fully equipped gym, aerobics and relaxation rooms.
Based on the four elements Air, Water, Fire and Earth, the stat-of-the-art spa embodies Hilton’s philosophy of ‘putting back a little of what life takes out’ creating a tranquil and indulgent atmosphere. A team of trained therapists will provides guests the Thalgo spa brand, as well as ayurvedic treatments with Softouch Ayurvedic Spa.
Mohab Ghali, the resort’s general manager stated: “Ras Al Khaimah is poised to become the UAE’s newest and hottest getaway spot, only an hour’s drive from the Mussandam fjords. Now that the spa is open, there is no excuse for guests not to make the short drive from Dubai or the other emirates, and treat themselves to some luxurious pampering in a stress-free tranquil environment.”
The resort’s 151 deluxe villas, with its Arabesque-influenced architecture, feature private patios with sea and Hajjar mountain views. The resort also introduces two restaurants and two bars, Waterbreaker, overlooking the Arabian Sea; Lighthouse, an open air rooftop bar with stunning sunset vistas, the poolside Dome Beach Bar and Passage to Asia, a contemporary Asian restaurant.
On completion of the second phase by the end of 2008, the property will further see 330 terraced rooms all overlooking the Arabian Sea. Other on-site facilities include four free-form temperature controlled swimming pools, comprehensive water sports facilities, and a fully equipped gym and health club.
The resort invites residents and visitors from across the region with their special summer rates at Dh600 during the weekday for a deluxe room for two. The rates include breakfast at the Waterbreaker restaurant and a choice of dinner for two or two hours of pampering at their newly opened Spa. Weekend rates are Dh850 ($231.4) per room, per night for two people.
