Emirates Hotels in key spa deal
Emirates Hotels and Resorts has tied up with Sodashi for its luxurious and world-renowned brand of spa treatments and products.

These will soon be available at Emirates Hotels and Resorts’ Timeless Spas, initially at Emirates Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa and Emirates Marina Hotel & Residence, which is due to open in September 2007. The Sodashi range will then be rolled out at all Emirates’ luxury Timeless Spas, complementing its existing Babor range of products and treatments.

1.2bn Bab Al Bahr resort in RAK
Project development company Rakeen has announced the launch of the Dh1.2 billion Bab Al Bahr resort in Ras Al Khaimah. The Bab Al Bahr will be the first project to be developed by Rakeen on Al Marjan Island, the developer’s manmade coral-shaped atoll being built to extend four kilometres into the Arabian Gulf. On completion in 2009, the Bab Al Bahr resort will encompass a four-star deluxe hotel, time-share apartments, freehold residential apartments, a shopping centre and an office tower, offering residents and investors 360 degree sea views and open private beach fronts.

Sanctuary to manage Quattro hotel
MAKASEB Holding, a regional investment and development company, in association with Tasees, the subsidiary real estate development and investment arm of Tamerat Almousa Group, has appointed Sanctuary Hotels and Resorts to manage its Dh1 billion ($.272 billion) Quattro West Hotel and Business Park. On completion in 2009, Quattro West Hotel and Business Park will comprise a luxury five-star hotel with 350 rooms, an exquisite shopping mall with brand showrooms from all over the world, an office tower that has 45 floors of individual freehold office units, and a hotel apartments block with 260 premium hotel apartments.

New hotel in Jordan’s Dibbeen
JORDAN Dubai Capital and the Social Security Investment Unit have launched the Munya Woodland Resort and Spa in Dibbeen. The development will be a major investment project in the north of Jordan and will have a total cost of more than $50 million. The project is billed as set to enhance tourism in the region and is expected to be finished before 2010.

Rosewood announces Dubai hotel
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has signed a management contract with developer JMJ Hospitality and UAE-based Daman Investments to manage a new ultra-luxury hotel in Dubai. Opening in late 2009, Rosewood Dubai will combine a world-class hotel, stunning residences and a spectacular grand ballroom, all located in what is known as today's world premier business and leisure destination. Housed within the Dubai International Finance Centre, Rosewood Dubai will include 157 deluxe guest rooms, 36 suites and a magnificent Royal Suite. Boasting two fine-dining venues, an exquisite ballroom, a state-of-the-art business centre and a Rosewood Spa with a rooftop pool and fitness centre, the hotel will redefine Dubai's highest standards of ultra-luxury hospitality.
