Qatar Airways will soon offer holiday packages to some 25 destinations and set up a division to design and offer tailor-made products for tourists.
Qatar Airways Holidays, the holiday arm of Qatar's flagbearer, will be formed this month, according to a Gulf Times report. The 25 destinations are in Europe, Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, and the Far East, Philip M G Philippou, the newly appointed airline marketing manager (Systemwide), said. The packages are being designed in association with hotels, car rental companies and ground handlers. The airline also plans to offer all-season packages and is talking to cruise companies to include cruise in the packages, he said. Qatar Airways flies to London, Paris, Munich, Beirut, Cairo, Damascus, Amman, Colombo, Kathmandu, Bangkok and Manila besides the GCC capitals and destinations in India and Pakistan. The airline will add Milan, Maldives and Kuala Lumpur to its network before the next financial year.
