REED Travel Exhibitions (RTE) and ADTA (Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority) have announced a change of dates for the Gulf Incentive Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (GIBTM) which will now take place in Abu Dhabi from March 13-15, 2007. The new Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre remains the venue.
The date change will assist Abu Dhabi in hosting a major United Nations Organisation (UN) conference during the period when GIBTM was originally due to take place. “The subject of the UN conference is consistent with Reed Elsevier’s formal commitment to the United Nations Global Compact. We are working to help Abu Dhabi achieve its ambitious goals not only in hosting this important conference but in a wider partnership within the meeting and incentive industry,” says Paul Kennedy MBE, group exhibition director, Reed Travel Exhibitions.
The inaugural event is set to showcase international meetings and incentive suppliers from national tourist organisations, destinations including convention bureau, hotels and hotel groups, DMCs and specialist service providers representing the Gulf, South and South East Asia, Europe, North Africa and beyond.
