First-ever French tourist office in ME

MAISON de la France, the French tourist authority, has opened its 34th worldwide and first Middle Eastern office in Dubai.

The director general of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Khalid A bin Sulayem, met with Alain Bodon, cabinet director of the French Minister for tourism, Pascal Visintainer, director, Marketing, Maison de la France and Pascal J Lepetre, director of the Middle East Regional office, on the eve of inauguration of its new office in Dubai.
Dubai has been fostering a strong relationship with France to boost its tourism products in the country. With a highly active overseas representation office in Paris, DTCM is involved with a number of exhibitions and roads shows yearly to promote the emirate as a year-round tourist and leisure destination in France.
Khalid committed to further support and expressed satisfaction on the substantial yearly increase of French tourists in the emirate. 
The new office represents 11 countries in the Middle East, including the six GCC nations and Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Iran.
