BOSTON-BASED Sonesta International Hotels Corporation, has expanded its portfolio in Egypt with the launch of a new five-star cruise ship, the Sonesta St George I, which sails the majestic Nile river between Luxor and Aswan.
The accommodations of the French-style cruiser comprise one royal suite, nine presidential suites and 49 cabins. All suites incorporate a laptop, WiFi, LCD screen TV equipped with the latest high tech facilities including a memory stick outlet and a live sailing channel. All bathrooms are fitted with a full spa unit. The numerous restaurants and bars include a main dinning room, observation lounge, piano bar and sun deck bar.
Activities on board range from fitness to recreation and include a sun deck oversize pool with a shallow water extension and a Jacuzzi, table tennis, as well as a fully equipped spa and wellness centre where guests may choose to either work out at the state-of-the-art gym, relax while being treated to a massage by professionals, or just un-wind n the hotel’s sauna or steam bath.

The Sonesta Cairo Hotel & Casino has opened launched two new outlets: Japanese restaurant Sushi Ya, the contemporary French Fauchon Salon de Thé. The hotel has also refurbished and upgraded its guest rooms and its Prince ballroom.
