Etihad Eid deals proving to be a hit with travellers
DEMAND for Etihad Holidays’ special Eid breaks has increased significantly, with travellers booking even before the start of the holy month of Ramadan in order to avoid disappointment, according to an airline statement.
“The Eid holiday, that falls directly after Ramadan, carries a great deal of significance for people living in the region, and getting away on a short break can make it that little bit more special,” said Nick Wood, general manager at Etihad Holidays.
Etihad guests have been particularly keen to book Eid breaks early this year because there is such a short period of time between the end of the traditional summer break and the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. “We are delighted to offer such a distinct variety of holidays whether are looking to travel as a couple, family or group of friends.
From October 26, Etihad will launch its daily service to New York, with lead-in price for a seven-day fly-drive to New York, of Dh3895 ($1060), and a five-night break at the central Helmsley Hotel from Dh5330 per person.
Guests looking for a break to Thailand will be able to stay at Bangkok’s impressive Zenith Hotel, which is popular with Arabian visitors due in many ways to its proximity to ‘little Arabia’. Three nights’ accommodation at the Zenith, with flights and transfers, costs from as little as Dh1530 per person. The hotel also offers Halal cuisine and Arabic speaking staff.
For those wishing to stay within the Middle East, Egypt is still a popular choice for a short break. On offer is cairo’s Ramses Hilton for Dh1460 per person, which includes flights, three night’s accommodation and transfers.
Europe is a beautiful place to visit in October with the leaves falling from the trees as autumn sets in. UAE-based travellers can fly to London in under seven hours, and enjoy the bright lights and excitement of the city in the comfort of the Eagles Hotel for Dh2020 per person.
