THE organisers of the sixth International Hospitality Forum, to be held from September 12 to 14 at Zara Expo, Amman, are expecting hundreds of local, regional, and international exhibitors to participate in this event, specialised for the region’s hospitality, food and beverage industry.

The forum is being organized by Jordan’s Events Unlimited and Lebanon’s Hospitality Services.
According to Samar Shawareb Achkar, general manager of Events Unlimited, the Netherlands has confirmed participation in an official wing with a large number of Dutch firms, while Italy has also confirmed its participation in this annual event, which in previous years has enabled participants to achieve significant successes. The forum will also host companies from Germany, Great Britain, Austria, France, Switzerland, and Arab countries, besides Jordanian firms, many of which are marketing new products at the event.
Shawareb indicated that in its previous editions, the forum has secured the support of local, Arab, and international businessmen, especially since participants’ investment in high-quality exhibition stands will contribute to the success of the 2006 edition.
She added that growing investment opportunities in Jordan’s hospitality industry will significantly contribute to the success of this year’s event, building on its achievements over the last five years.
Joumana Salamé, general manager of Hospitality Services said the event was expected to attract more than 4,000 specialised visitors, thus seeing a larger volume of transactions.
She invited visitors to observe competitions in a variety of creative cooking methods. The top eight Jordanian cooks will receive training at Swiss institutes for two weeks.
