ABU-DHABI based Mafraq Hotel has announced a complete makeover throughout its rooms and gardens.
The hotel’s general manager Ali Salih says the 120-room property is set to undergo a major transformation. “More than $1.5 million (Dh5 million) will be invested to enhance the landscaping and gardens surrounding the entire hotel,” he says.
“The grounds are already green and lush, giving a wonderful contrast to the undulating sands that surround the property. However, the landscaping plans are super and I believe the move will elevate Mafraq Hotel to be a true desert oasis,” he adds.
Salih, who recently took over at the helm of Mafraq, said that the refinement programme will also touch on the hotel interiors, but stressed that the work will be completed without disruption to guests: “We are working smart and fast, with a ‘superior’ room category being introduced from September. The new room-type has many added features from extra room space to broadband internet access and in-room tea and coffee facilities.”
Mafraq Hotel is in close proximity to popular golf courses, shopping malls and beaches and is strategically located at the heart of the newly-developed Mafraq, Abu Dhabi.
Only ten minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi’s city centre and one hour from Dubai, Mafraq Hotel has long since proven an ideal venue for mid-week meetings, seminars and multi-day conferences, and is a favoured weekend get-a-way.
The hotel provides a complementary service from Abu Dhabi International Airport and a regular shuttle service from the hotel into Abu Dhabi city.
“I see Mafraq Hotel as a top-end four-star hotel, offering the services and touches that have become expected as ‘the norm’ for five-star properties,” says Salih. “The hotel’s main focus now is to provide an exception customer experience and superior value across all services.”
Mafraq Hotel is managed by Danat Hotels & Resorts, a division of the National Corporation of Tourism & Hotels based in Abu Dhabi.
