REZIDOR SAS hospitality, one of the fastest growing hospitality companies in the world, has signed for a further six new hotels in one week.
The properties include The Regent Dubrovnik (Croatia, to open in March 2008); Radisson SAS Resort and Spa, Dubrovnik (Croatia, March 2008); Radisson SAS Hotel, Cardiff (UK, October 2008); Park Inn Sawley Marina, East Midlands (UK, autumn 2007); Park Inn Belfast (Northern Ireland, May 2008); and Radisson SAS Hotel, Dakar (Senegal, spring of 2008).
The new additions bring the company’s portfolio to 279 hotels, in operation and under development, encompassing over 56,000 guestrooms in 50 countries. The group aims to increase its portfolio in Europe, Middle East and Africa to over 700 hotels by 2015.
New to Tunisia
Radisson SAS has opened its first hotel in North Africa, at Djerba, an island off the south-west of Tunisia. Radisson SAS Resort and Thalasso, Djerba will focus on leisure and business travellers. It is located in the heart of the tourism sector in a sumptuous estate and is only a few miles away from the main town of Houmt Souk.
The resort is within close proximity of several golf courses, a casino and Djerba international airport, and facilities include an elite relaxation and fitness area with three outdoor pools, an indoor pool with sauna, Jacuzzis and hammam. One of the highlights of the resort is its thalasso therapy centre spread out over an area of approximately 3,000sqm, with direct access from the resort. The resort offers 276 stylish guestrooms, including 14 junior suites and six ambassador suites. It also hosts seven modern and highly equipped conference and meeting rooms, accommodating up to 350 delegates.
