THE new Mövenpick Hotel Frankfurt City, the brand’s first non-smoking hotel, welcomed its first guests, well in time for the start of the World Cup.
Located right next to Frankfurt’s trade fair grounds and, with its contemporary furnishings and attractive architecture, it meets all the requirements of executive travellers.
The new hotel has a total of 288 comfortable rooms on seven floors, including two rooms with disabled access and eight rooms specially furnished for allergy sufferers. Besides the standard fittings and furnishings the superior rooms and junior suites offer additional comfort. Ochre and burgundy tones combine with fresh apple green furnishings to lend the rooms a warm and cosy atmosphere.
One of the hotel’s highlights is its panoramic terrace with views of Frankfurt’s skyline. An underground car park with 130 spaces (separate charge) can be accessed directly from the Hotel. The 130sqm fitness centre with solarium on the top floor offers an opportunity to unwind and relax after a strenuous day at the trade fair. Seating 162 guests, the Mövenpick Hotel Restaurant is a buffet and à-la-carte restaurant serving creative dishes from the wood-fired oven as well as favourite Mövenpick classics.
Thirteen multifunctional meeting rooms with the very latest conference and communication technology (equipped with, among others, beamers and touch panels for controlling the technical installations) provide 680sqm of event space for up to 350 people. Eight rooms ranging in size from 25 to 205sqm are located on the ground floor with a further five rooms from 28 to 59sqm on the seventh floor. Public Wireless LAN is available free of charge in all the rooms.
