UAE-based Wafi group has launched its first hotel, the Dh60 million ($16.34 million) Arabian Park Hotel in Jadaf, Dubai. The hotel’s launch rate, until the end of July is Dh345 per night inclusive of breakfast.

With 318 rooms, the Arabian Park is the biggest hotel in its category, says general manager Mark Lee. Wafi is to study the success of this first property before planning new hotels, he says.
Owned and managed by Wafi, the hotel offers a choice of affordable accommodation with first-class service. “The results of an extensive feasibility study that was conducted by our team at Wafi during the initial design stage indicated that there was exceptional demand in the emirate for affordable, short-stay business and leisure traveller accommodation,” says Lee.
The period between concept and completion was 18 months, says Lee. Since its soft opening in May the hotel has enjoyed high occupancy, with room nights being booked by international and regional guests and a number of return stays, adds Irena Gabrowsca, head of sales and marketing.
Each floor of the hotel has its own multi-functional guest lounge equipped with a large plasma TV, reading areas, internet work stations and a secluded library-cum-meeting room. Other facilities include a business centre, gym and saltwater swimming pool.
The hotel boasts six distinctive room styles – the standard king, standard queen, standard twin, junior suite, Arabian Park executive and Arabian Park executive junior Suite. Each room is equipped with satellite TV, tea/coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, IDD telephone, internet access, a mini fridge and a safe deposit box.
Backed up by the award-winning Wafi food and beverage team, APH delivers the highest standards of food and customer service round-the-clock, through five outlets, including the all-day dining Brasserie, the Oasis Lounge and Bar, and a New York style delicatessen.
Sited opposite the Grand Hyatt Dubai, the property is in Jadaf, just five minutes from Dubai World Trade Centre and the central business district, and 10 minutes from Dubai International Airport, provided the perfect opportunity to create a mid-market hotel to meet that demand. “And the end of year opening of the third crossing over the creek will make the area one of the most accessible in Dubai,” says Lee.
