Jordan at IMEX
FOR the ninth consecutive year, Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), the Kingdom's official marketing organization, is putting up a major participation in IMEX.
Thirteen co-participants share the JTB’s stand of 140sqm.
IMEX is the ideal platform to create awareness and promote Jordan's distinctive product offered amongst the travel trade, says a spokesman.
Today, Jordan offers an extensive range of activities from trips through the past in its very rich cultural heritage and religious sector into the growing market to eco-tourism and scientific, academic, volunteer and educational activities. As the Kingdom's coastal areas in Aqaba are undergoing mass development, greater emphasis is now being placed on its water sports and cruising activities.
RAK targets MICE market
THE emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, which is leading the race for space tourism in the Middle East, is positioning itself as a new tourist and MICE destination.
The emirate will unveil two new products at IMEX: the Al Hamra Village – Town Houses, and the Khatt Springs Hotel and Spa. The former is designed as a ‘hotel within a hotel,’ located 400m away from the five-star Al Hamra Fort Hotel & Beach Resort. Designed as a victorious Arabian Fort reviving the 1001 Arabian Nights theme, the five-star fairytale-like Khatt Springs Hotel & Spa is due to open by the summer.
Apart from this, the Tower Links Golf Club with its international 18-hole golf course will present its new clubhouse, whose design reflects the emirate’s history.
QNH offers fine solutions
QATAR National Hotels (QNH) will be at IMEX offering guests a choice of premium and hotels and leisure units.
The company is wholly owned and was established by the government of Qatar to spearhead the state’s hotel industry.
