SPEARHEADED by the country’s Ministry of Tourism, Oman will have its largest-ever Arabian Travel Market (ATM) presence this year, spread over 320sqm.
This represents an increase of 17.4 per cent over 2005. Nearly a third of the space will be occupied by Oman Air.
Rajiha bint Abdul Amir bin Ali, minister of tourism; and Mohammed Hamood Al Toubi, undersecretary, Ministry of Tourism are expected to attend.
The ministry will market its Khareef Festival Salalah and the Al Hota Cave at the event.
The ATM has successfully been used as a platform by the Ministry of Tourism to attract tourists from the AGCC countries to Oman and the visitors figures have steadily been rising. The Ministry of Tourism first took part in 1997.
