THE Sheraton Bahrain Hotel & Towers has just completed the first phase of an extensive refurbishment programme.

From the entrance to its stylish interior, the premium five-star property is getting a complete makeover as part of Bahrain’s newest development, the Bahrain World Trade Centre complex.
The project entails a complete revamp of all 256 rooms and suites, meeting rooms, restaurants, recreation facilities and public areas; a brand new 200-space multi-story car park and direct link to the twin towers of the Bahrain World Trade Centre via the adjacent shopping mall will also be created.
The hotel will remain open throughout the process. Phase II is due to commence in summer, with the completion date of the hotel renovation set for October 2006. The hotel’s top three floors have already been completed and Sheraton’s Al Taj Ballroom design and facilities have also already been completely upgraded.
The new rooms are elegantly styled in keeping with the hotel’s policy of staying ahead of modern trends. With a timeless yet contemporary feel, they blend warm pastel colours and fine fabrics with state-of-the art facilities such as 32” LCD screen TVs and WiFi connectivity in all rooms and public areas of the hotel, including banquet halls, restaurants and even the swimming pool.
Designed to meet and exceed business travellers’ expectations, each room features a fully equipped office desk area with tea/coffee making facilities and ironing board. All of the bathrooms boast high-pressure dual option showerheads.
All rooms will be equipped with new luxurious beds have been specially developed by Simmons Beautyrest with the signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed, comprising a Simmons Beautyrest mattress, crisp white 100 per cent combed cotton 200-thread count bed linen, sumptuous white goose feather pillows, and a coloured throw in tone with the room decor. The investment on the new beds alone is almost $600,000.
Since its opening in 1981 the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel & Towers has been one of the premium five-star hotels in Bahrain and has hosted royalty and heads of state, business tycoons and captains of industry.  It has also hosted two GCC summits.
Located in the diplomatic area and main business district of Bahrain’s capital Manama, the hotel is a few minutes walking distance from the city centre.  It offers luxurious guest rooms and suites overlooking the Arabian Gulf, extensive recreational facilities, state-of-the-art meeting facilities and delightful restaurants, making it the ideal location for today’s traveller.
