Inside the Mövenpick Taba

A new luxury resort has officially opened its doors in Taba, on Egypt’s Red Sea coast.

The comfortable, family-friendly holiday oasis has 434 rooms and provides the ideal setting for a relaxing holiday, whatever the time of year. The five-star hotel is part of Movenpick Hotels & Resorts’ (MH&R) expansion strategy and adds to its already considerable Middle East portfolio.
Only 30 km from Taba International Airport, the new holiday complex is situated directly on Taba Bay.
The Movenpick Resort Taba has 434 rooms, suites and family bungalows, all with fantastic views of the sea or mountains. All accommodation offers the very latest amenities. The entire resort is wheelchair accessible, with rooms specially equipped for the physically challenged. The Movenpick Resort Taba serves a wide range of culinary specialities, designed to satisfy even the most discerning gourmets.
The Hotel has its own 400 m private beach, two outdoor pools and a heated indoor pool as well as three wading pools. Other amenities to be available to guests by the end of 2006 include a casino, a spa and leisure area, a modern fitness centre, a water sports and diving centre under professional management, three tennis courts, a volleyball court and a children’s club. An 18-hole golf course is also due to open soon some 20 km from the resort. Two conference rooms with seating for up to 200 participants are complemented by a business centre.

New Mövenpick for Makkah
In keeping with its expansion objectives across Saudi Arabia, following the successful operation of two hotels in Madinah and two in Jeddah, Movenpick Hotels & Resorts (MH&R) has signed a management contract for a new hotel in Makkah, with Kuwait based owner Hajar Real Estate Company. The five-star hotel is scheduled to open late 2007. The property will offer 410 comfortable rooms and suites of the highest standard and also house 882 fully furnished residences for individual investment.
