Indian, known earlier as Indian Airlines, registered a six per cent growth in passengers numbers from Bahrain last year.
This has been achieved without increasing the capacity, said the airline's Dubai-based regional manager Pankaj Srivastav. From the Gulf in general, there was an 8 per cent increase in traffic last year, he said, adding that 2006 looks very promising and the growth is expected to reach 30 per cent, because of seven additional flights to Mumbai and three to Delhi, both from Sharjah.
