Maybourne’s Grand view
THE Maybourne Hotel Group has confirmed the booking of a Grand Tier Box at Premium Travel 2006. The Berkeley, Claridge’s and The Connaught, which are owned and managed by Maybourne Hotel Group, will benefit from the exceptional setting of the Royal Albert Hall to meet selected hosted buyers through pre-organised appointments.

Von Essen’s bigger new Family
VON Essen Hotels, the UK’s leading private collection of country house hotels, will announce At Premium Travel its acquisition of Luxury Family Hotels, which operates Woolley Grange, Wiltshire; Fowey Hall, Cornwall; Moonfleet Manor, Dorset and Ickworth Hall, Suffolk.
The company will also use the show as a platform to launch its recently signed partnership with PremiAir Aviation Services, operators of the largest and most comprehensive executive helicopter charter service in the UK.

Hilton’s new resorts
HILTON Worldwide Resorts will showcase at Premium Travel the first class facilities and quality service offered by The Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa in the Indian Ocean and The Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa in China. The former is the ultimate in barefoot luxury with 40 private villas nestled amidst the small beach coves of Beauvallon Bay on the island of Mahé. The Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa, located on the white sand beach of Yalong Bay on Hainan Island has volcanic lava stone thatched pavilion suites with luxurious amenities, first class dining and a stunning spa.

Dusit’s D2
Together with associate brand, Royal Princess Hotels & Resorts, which offers first class, moderately priced accommodation throughout Thailand, Dusit now represents a renowned collection of 20 luxury and first-class properties in Asia and Middle East. Its boutique-style brand extension, D2Hotels, is on show, a concept designed to provide a unique atmosphere set within modern design with Thai accents. The first property opened in Chiang Mai in November 2005, further D2Hotels are planned for other prime destinations.

Train into Venice
Luxury train operator Orient-Express today has just announced that the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express (VSOP) will operate a new seven-night grand touring experience through Central Europe in July 2007. In keeping with the great Orient-Express tradition of offering intriguing, long distance itineraries with a real sense of adventure, the VSOP will visit five different countries with highlights including Vienna, Krakow and Warsaw. The itinerary includes all meals on board, bed and breakfast accommodation in the three cities and all off train tours at £4,000 per person based on two sharing a double cabin.
