Sharm property adds to Rotana’s Egypt offering

ROTANA Hotels’s new five-star Sharm El Sheikh property, the Grand Rotana Resort & Spa, further augments the Middle Eastern brand’s bouquet in Egypt.

“Rotana already runs three resorts in Egypt, two in Sharm El Sheikh and one in Hurghada, but the Grand Rotana Resort & Spa is the first five-star resort property and will set the pace for Rotana’s expansion in Egypt,” says Selim El Zyr, president and CEO of Rotana Hotels. “The new Grand Rotana is located on the shores of Sharm El Sheikh, which is a truly inspiring seaside destination. The property has its own 450-metre stretch of private beach, a stunning 3,600 sqm pool which is as large as three Olympic sized swimming pools and the entire property is surrounded by a lush tropical landscape with over 2,000 palm trees”. 
The resort is the newest property in Sharm El Sheikh, ‘the City of Peace,’ offering a unique coastline, embraced by spectacular land and seascapes. With diving and snorkeling, windsurfing and other water sports, horses and camel riding, desert safaris, and great nearby antiquities attractions, there are endless exciting experiences awaiting visitors to the new hotel. 
The property offers 559 luxurious rooms and suites, 54 Club Rotana executive rooms and suites and nine villas of four and five bedrooms each, all with sophisticated communications and meeting facilities as well as personalised service. The hotel also has rooms for people with special needs.
Club Rotana guests have a private reception with express check-in and check-out, access to the Club Rotana lounge with its library, complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails and other amenities.
Among their dining and entertainment options are the hotel’s main restaurant, Ramses, serving cuisine ranging from Mediterranean to Far Eastern; Isis, which serves malt whiskeys and Cuban cigars as well as a variety of coffees; Mezzaluna, a refined version of the typical Italian trattoria; Sky Lounge, a majlis featuring a selection of shishas, Arabic teas and flavored vodkas; Silk Road, the signature restaurant serving food from China, Thailand, India, Arabia and Western Europe; The Palms, offering cocktails, beverages, and light dishes throughout the day; and, Pulse, the resort’s late-night venue.
Spa and fitness facilities include various treatment rooms, sauna, steam room, relaxation area and beach massage. The group’s branded Bodylines Fitness Centre, a 450-metre stretch of private beach, a lagoon-style swimming pool, tennis court, kids’ club and pool and diving at the Red Sea’s coral reefs.
The hotel also takes its place as Sharm Al Sheikh’s most sophisticated luxury incentive hotel with a flexible and state-of-the-art ballroom for 500 people along with three meeting rooms equipped with ultra-modern digital technology and cutting-edge audio and visual communications equipment.
