The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company was named number one for business travel in Europe, Middle East & Africa by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler in the magazine’s Eighth Annual Business Travel Awards.
Among hotel chains in Europe, the Middle East & Africa, The Ritz-Carlton ranked top of the list for highest marks overall in the categories of: rooms equipped for working, business services/ facilities, dining/ restaurants, front desk service, overall design and value for cost.
In Europe, The Ritz-Carlton received the leading score of 86.6, surpassing the competition by 4.3 points. In Africa/ Middle East, again The Ritz-Carlton was listed in the top spot with a score of 84.4, ahead of the competition by 1.7 points. In the Americas and the US, The Ritz-Carlton was listed in the number two and number three spots respectively.
Condé Nast Traveler said, “Among hotels chains in Europe and in Africa and the Middle East, The Ritz-Carlton claims the top spot, with rooms getting especially high marks. Little wonder: most Club accommodations come with high-speed internet access, fax machines, and (since most tend to be on upper floors) prime views. Club floors also have private lounges, where guests are served complimentary meals throughout the day, as well as dedicated concierges, who help with everything from shipping packages to making copies.”
